As part of measures to promote religious harmony and peaceful coexistence, the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Kaduna Central District, Muhammad Sani Dattijo, has distributed 200 3KVA generating sets to Mosque and Churches across 81 wards of Giwa, Birnin Gwari, Igabi, Kaduna North, Kaduna South, Chikun and Kajuru local government areas.

In a flag-off ceremony held yesterday in Kaduna and attended by religious leaders, Dattijo said the gesture is primarily to support worship places to strengthen prayers to God for enhanced peace, security and stability of the  people and communities.

According to the senatorial hopeful, “today’s distribution is our token support to our worship places and indeed our religious leaders to continue to pray to God for continuous mercies, guidance and protection for our communities and people faced with the challenges of insecurity and divisive tendencies threatening our peaceful coexistence.”

Dattijo urged religious leaders to mobilise their followers towards victory of the APC and its candidates in the forthcoming general elections.

In their separate remarks, the chairman of Fityanul Islam, Kaduna State; Malam Rabiu Abdullahi, commended the Senatorial Candidate for the gesture and prayed to God to reward him abundantly.

Also speaking, the National Coordinator, Progressive Pastors Platform, Pastor Adebayo Adekunle thanked Dattijo for the kind gesture of ensuring balance and integration among different religious adherents.

On his part, the State Leader, Izalatul Bidi’a Wa ikamatul Sunnah, Malam Muhammad Adamu Ibrahim urged politicians to emulate the Senatorial Candidate to ensure inclusive leadership.

Atiku Will Make Nigeria Envy Of Other Nations – PDP Chieftain A Lagos State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain and the deputy national secretary, Nigerian Business Communities (NBC) for Atiku/Okowa, Barrister Sam Aiboni, has said PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar would turn the country to an envy of other nations across the globe.

Aiboni, who made these remarks during his sensitisation tour of Dolphin Estate, Obalende, Falomo and Foreshore Estate in the Eti – Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State over the weekend, said Alhaji Atiku had a better knowledge of the people and upon his election, he would bring about the much expected accelerated development that would aid the socio – economic development of every nook and cranny of the country.

He noted that as a successful leader with proven integrity, unblemished records and broad experience, he would do everything under the ambit of the law to ensure a sustainable growth in the nation’s economy as well as make life more meaningful to the people.

The PDP chieftain stressed that the last eight years of the APC’s administration had been an abysmal failure as the party provided leadership that lacked focus and policies that would have consolidated on the achievements of the PDP government it took over from in 2015.

“I have in the last eight years watched the polity and the APC maladministration and noted that a good measure of dynamism needed to be injected into the polity and Alhaji Atiku would not only accomplish that, but also give the people quality leadership, Barrister Aiboni stated.

He stressed that from Alhaji Atiku’s public and private sector background and success in life, he had the vision and qualities to carry through his plans and not only turn the country to a role model, but equally restore the dignity of the people.

While expressing his appreciations to Nigerians from all walks of life who called on the former Vice – President to lead the nation and restore its lost glory, Barrister Aiboni assured Nigerians that Alhaji Atiku won’t let them down as he was adequately prepared to give them purposeful leadership.

“I can confidently say that Alhaji Atiku is more than overwhelmed by the  people’s trust in him, having been persuaded by his steadfastness, honesty and zeal to provide people – oriented services and all these have further challenged him to better their lots if elected the nation’s president.”

Speaking on what qualifies the former Vice – President for election as the nation’s president, the PDP chieftain explained that Alhaji Atiku had better knowledge of Nigerians and their basic requirements and how to meet these needs, stressing that he was set to provide leadership worthy of emulation, ensure high morale among the citizenry and rebuild the country’s image.

Meanwhile, Barrister Aiboni has commended the people of Eti-Osa Local Government Area for turning out en masse during his ongoing sensitization tour, as well as the orderly manner in which they have conducted themselves in adherence to the party’s appeal for a rancour- free campaigns.
