Kebbi Govt Awards N9.4bn Road Contract

Kebbi State government has awarded a N9.4 billion contract to remodel major roads in the state capital, Birnin Kebbi.

The contract, according to the government, was in fulfilment of Governor Idris campaign promise to beautify the state capital to compete with other states in terms of development.

While signing the contract agreement yesterday at the Council Chamber of the Government House, Birnin Kebbi, between the state government and the contracting firm, Habib Engineering Limited, Idris said the rehabilitation and upgrading of the roads would reduce erosion challenges and also beautify the state capital.

He said the government would monitor to ensure full compliance with the contract terms.
