Chiya disclosed this yesterday to journalists after signing a memorandum of understanding with the chief executive/managing director of Best Petroleum Nigeria Limited, Mr. Nnamdi Christian Anekwe in his office on Tuesday.
He said the trailer project would be through Public Private Partnership (PPP) and will have features that include a restaurant, chapel, mosque, 2,000 shops, DSS, army, police posts, mega doing station, recreational center, bank, plaza, clinic, administrative block, fire station, and a 5-star hotel.
Chiya further said that the ultra-modern trailer park will generate and boost more revenue for the council and the FCT administration, adding that the trailer park will create jobs for over 1000 youth and women in the area.
The chairman later announced a nine members committee for the trailer park project, which has the council director of works, Dr. Nyizazo Naphtali Audi, Mr. Nnamdi Christian Anekwe, and Mr. Omokafe Jinadu as secretary and coordinator respectively.
He also mentioned representatives of the police force, DSS, FRSC, fire service, Army, NSDC, Federal Ministry of Works, NURTW, trailer drivers union, Federal Ministry of Information, and representatives of the FCT administration as members of the committee.
The chief executive/managing director of Best Petroleum Nigeria Limited, Mr. Nnamdi Christian Anekwe, while delivering his remark, appreciated the council chairman for going into partnership with his firm to embark on the construction of the ultra-modern trailer park in the area.
