Lagos State government will on Tuesday this week commence the annual ministerial press briefing to unveil projects and achievements of the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu led administration three years after it was suspended.
The annual briefing is a month-long programme where each ministry, department and agency in the state brief the media on its achievements in the last year, as well as plans for the coming years.
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso said the government decided to resuscitate the annual event so as to intimate Lagosians on some projects Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu had done since he returned for a second term in office.
He added that this year’s briefing, which will be held between April 23 and May 28, will prelude the one-year anniversary of Governor Sanwo-olu’s second term in office.
He said: “At the ministerial briefing, we would inform Lagosians on what we had done in the last one year and other projects we are working on, such as the Lekki Airport, the fourth mainland bridge among other iconic projects.
“Each ministry will tell Lagosians what they have done and what to expect from them in another year.”
The commissioner expressed confidence in the readiness and ability of the commissioners and head of agencies to deliver at the briefing.
