The Igbo in Lagos State have alleged non-representation in Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The claim was made by Concerned Igbo Elite (CIE) after an assessment of the appointments of Government Sanwo-Olu.
In a release made available to the media yesterday, the group decried what they called a misnomer designed to further marginalise the Igbos in Lagos.
The group said Ndigbo in Lagos were not happy considering the cordial relationship between them and the Yoruba, especially since 1999, when the former Governor of Lagos State, now President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was in power.
The group maintained that such cordiality and peaceful coexistence between the two groups which have been the hallmark of the host and her visitors which have been jealously guided should not be thwarted for any reason.
The coordinator of the group, Aji Ibe said members of the Concerned Igbo Elite, are surprised that no persons of Igbo extraction are in Sanwo-Olu’s administration despite the struggle and efforts even at personal discomfort of some Igbo people in ensuring that the All Progressives Congress won in Lagos and Nigeria at large.
