Suspected Boko Haram terrorists, on Thursday, brought down the Transmission Company of Nigeria’s (TCN) Gombe-Damaturu 330kv transmission line around Katsaita village in Yobe State, thereby causing blackout in parts of Borno and Yobe States in the North-East region.

The TCN transmission tower had been a constant target of the Boko Haram terrorists who had at different times bombed or destroyed the tower to register their relevance to the people of the states following their decimation by the Nigerian military.
