The Chief Magistrate Court 2, Yola, presided by Magistrate Musa Adamu, issued the remand order when the defendant was arraigned before his court.

The judge remanded the pregnant housewife after she had pleaded guilty to the alleged offence of culpable homicide which runs contrary to section 191 of the Penal Code Law 2018.

After the defendant had entered her guilty plea, the presiding judge consequently adjourned the matter to July 10, 2024, awaiting the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP)’s vetting of the case diary.

She was arraigned before the court by Sgt Ahmed Abubakar who held the brief for Inspector Hamza Abdullahi and tendered the First Information Report which was read to her.
