Managing director of Anambra Imo River Basin Development Authority (AIRBDA), Engr Gerald Osuagwu, has promised cordial relationship with the host communities of the agency.
Osuagwu told youths of AIRBDA host communities comprising Naze, Agbala and Ulakwo during a call at the agency in Owerri, the Imo State capital that peace fosters development.
The managing director said he would continue to foster peace so that AIRBDA would enjoy development under good working environment.
The chairman of the Umunna United Youths, Philip Njoku, commended Osuagwu for the construction and equipping of a modern 10 metric tonnes oil processing mill for the production of palm oil and palm kernel oil in commercial quantities.
Njoku said the visit was to commend Osuagwu for the just concluded AIRBDA unity cup which he said fostered unity among the communities.
He said Osuagwu had improved working conditions with the renovation and improvement of the buildings, including the modernisation and upgrade of its physical infrastructure and functionality, even as he commended the good working relationship with staff and indigenes.
Further, Njoku commended Osuagwu for the construction of a water production factory with modern machines and the redesigning and reconstruction of a modern multi-purpose hall.
He praised Agbala community for winning the maiden AIRBDA unity cup and expressed hopes that the tournament will be sustained.
