Toyin Abraham Under Fire Over Alleged Leaked Audio Involving Funke Akindele

Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has found herself at the centre of a fresh controversy following a private audio conversation between her and a TikTok fan that allegedly leaked online.

The 11-minute-and-42-second recording, featuring Toyin Abraham and a fan known as Bisgold, began circulating on X and Instagram on October 14, 2026.

In the recording, the voice attributed to Toyin Abraham opened up about the relentless criticism she faces and expressed concern over fake fan pages allegedly trolling actress Kemity, whom she considers like a daughter, as well as her relationship with fellow actor Itele d Icon. The speaker also touched on a personal pregnancy loss during the conversation.

However, a more contentious part of the recording emerged when the fan repeatedly hurled insults at colleague Funke Akindele, while Toyin Abraham allegedly laughed along rather than cautioning the fan. The fan also brought up past remarks directed at Iyabo Ojo, which the actress allegedly admitted she could not move past.

The conversation, conducted largely in Yoruba and Pidgin, drew sharp criticism from social media users who argued that Toyin Abraham allegedly enabled the fan’s behaviour by staying silent. The leak has reignited discussions surrounding an already simmering feud between Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele.

The rift between the two film stars previously drew public attention during the premiere of Iyabo Ojo’s film The Return of Arinzo, where Funke Akindele was filmed allegedly ignoring Toyin Abraham’s greeting while seated with Iyabo Ojo and Mercy Aigbe. Toyin Abraham later reportedly vowed she would never greet Funke Akindele again and confirmed she had unfollowed her on social media.

As of the time of filing this report, neither Toyin Abraham’s nor Funke Akindele’s management team has released an official statement regarding the leaked recording.
