UK-based Afrobeats Singer Darkoo Features Davido In New Single “Right Now”

UK-based Afrobeats singer,  Oluwafisayo Isa, known as Darkoo, has released a new single titled “Right Now,” featuring Davido.

In this track, Darkoo explores the qualities of the ideal woman—a partner a man desires to have children with, focused on love rather than money. She offers to show her what it feels like to be with an “African King,” someone who values her for her genuine affection.

The song, which runs for three to minutes and two seconds, has a mellow, chill vibe, characterised by a rhythmic Afrobeats base.

Darkoo and Davido’s voices blend seamlessly, making it difficult to distinguish where one voice ends and the other begins. Darkoo’s deep tones complement Davido’s catchy higher register.

This collaboration follows the success of Darkoo’s previous single, “Favourite Girl,” featuring Rema. Born in 2001, the 23-year-old British Nigerian singer gained prominence with her hit “Gangsta,” featuring One Acen, which peaked at #22 on the Official Singles Chart and reached #1 on the UK Afrobeats Chart in 2020.
