A non-profit organisation, Waterlight Save Initiative has provided vital support to homeless persons in Atlanta and Georgia in the United States of America (USA).
The organisation is dedicated to improving the lives of marginalised communities through outreach programmes, access to essential resources and empowerment initiatives.
In a statement issued by its president, Dr Prince Ero Ibhafidon, the group said that it was proud to announce its latest outreach campaign aimed at providing essential support to homeless individuals in Atlanta, Georgia.
It said that the homelessness remains a pressing issue in cities across the United States, and Atlanta is no exception.
Waterlight Save Initiative recognises the urgent need to extend a helping hand to those who have been traditionally underserved and unreached in their struggle for basic necessities and a brighter future.
“Waterlight Save Initiative is deploying specially equipped mobile units that will visit unreached areas to provide homeless individuals with access to clean drinking water, hygiene products, nutritious meals, and warm clothing. These units will serve as a lifeline for those in need.
“The organization will work closely with local shelters to ensure that homeless individuals receive information about available shelter services and support in securing safe and stable housing options.
“Waterlight Save Initiative will collaborate with healthcare professionals to offer on-site medical and mental health services, addressing the unique healthcare needs of the homeless population.
“The initiative will conduct workshops on job readiness, financial literacy, and other life skills to empower individuals to regain their independence and improve their quality of life,” he said.
