Wesley University, Ondo in Ondo State has secured full accreditation for the additional 10 undergraduate programmes.
This development follows the National Universities Commission’s approval conveyed to the university in a letter to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sunday Obeka.
According to a release by the university’s acting Information oficer, Peace Olanrewaju, a resource verification visit followed by a panel of experts to assess the university’s human and material resources got the institution the accreditation.
According to her, the accredited programmes include B.Sc. Entrepreneurship, B.Sc. Office Management Technology, B.Sc. Surveying, O.D. Optometry PGD, M.Sc., M.Phil, and Ph.D. Urban and Regional Planning PGD, M.Sc., M.Phil, and Ph.D. Estate Management.
The rest are PGD, M.Sc., M.Phil, and Ph.D. Economics, B.Sc. Public Health, B.Rad. Radiography, PGD, M.Sc., M.Phil, and Ph.D. Community Health.
While commending NUC for the accreditation, the Vice Chancellor said the approval marks a significant milestone for the University by enhancing its academic offerings and providing more opportunities for students in diverse fields of study.
He advised prospective students to apply now for these programmes as the university prepares to commence complete academic activities for the approved courses.
