Senator Samuel Anyanwu has congratulated the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) federal and state lawmakers in Imo State on their successful inauguration.
In a statement made available to LEADERSHIP, the Imo State PDP governorship candidate, Anyanwu stated that the momentous occasion marks a significant step forward in strengthening democratic governance and representation in our beloved state.
He commended the resilience and dedication of the elected lawmakers who have taken the oath of office, vowing to serve the people of Imo State with integrity, transparency, and utmost commitment.
He also acknowledged the importance of their presence in the hallowed chambers of power, where they will advocate for the interests of their constituents and work towards the advancement of our state.
Furthermore, Senator Anyanwu said he recognize the challenges faced by some PDP candidates who are currently in court, seeking to reclaim their mandates.
“I send my unwavering support and encouragement to them to remain hopeful, as justice is the foundation upon which our democratic system rests. I believe firmly that the judiciary will impartially adjudicate these cases, ensuring that the true will of the people is upheld and respected.”
He emphasized that the PDP stands united in its commitment to represent the hopes, dreams, and aspirations of the good people of Imo State. He urges party members, supporters, and all well-meaning citizens to rally behind the elected lawmakers, providing them with the necessary support to fulfill their legislative responsibilities and deliver on their campaign promises.
” I appeal for calm and peaceful coexistence among all residents of Imo State. There is a need for dialogue, understanding, and a shared vision for a better and prosperous Imo.
“By working together, irrespective of political affiliations, we can collectively achieve sustainable development and foster unity within our diverse communities”.
