Newly elected president of the Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC), Comrade Jethro Annum, has congratulated the governor of Ondo State, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, over the Supreme Court’s affirmation of his electoral victory.
In a statement released to journalists in Abuja by the national publicity secretary of the congress, Barr.Aniekan Etim, the NYC, applauded the governor’s commitment to the development of Ondo State and called for an increased role for young people in his administration.
“On behalf of the teeming Nigerian youths, I am congratulating you today on this well-deserved victory at the Supreme Court,” said Engr. Annum.
“As the President of NYC, we reiterate your commitment as Governor to advancing youth-oriented programs and initiatives. This victory allows you to empower further and uplift our vibrant youth constituency. We are confident that under your esteemed leadership, Ondo State will continue to witness remarkable progress and transformation,” he said.
Speaking further, Engr. Annum described his solidarity visit to the Governor as symbolic of the shared pride and joy felt by young Nigerians nationwide.
“This solidarity visit by me as the President-Elect of the Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC) exemplifies the collective joy and pride felt by the youths across the nation in celebrating your achievements,” he stated. “We in NYC see your victory as a divine intervention, resonating deeply with us and reinforcing our belief that your continued leadership will inspire positive change for future generations.”
