The Action Alliance (AA) in Zamfara State has condemned the attack on its 2027 presidential candidate, Aare Adekunle Rufai Omoaje, which occurred during a burial on Saturday.

The party described the attack as a direct assault on democracy.

In a statement issued on Sunday evening in Gusau, the Zamfara State chairman of AA, Alhaji Shehu Hussaini Waziri, called on security agencies to investigate the incident.

He said, “The Zamfara State Action Alliance condemns the unfortunate attack on its presidential candidate, Aare Adekunle Rufai Omoaje, on Saturday at a burial ceremony and activities held at Ekusa, Odo Otin LGA, Osun State.”

“This cowardly act is a direct assault on democracy, an attempt to intimidate the opposition political party, denying them their mandate.”
