Renowned music video director, Dammy Twitch, is set to make his feature film debut with the romantic comedy ‘Call of My Life,’ scheduled to hit Nigerian cinemas on May 15, 2026.
Bluhouse Studios announced in a statement that it would be distributed nationwide through Filmone. The movie features a star-studded cast including Nkem Owoh, Patience Ozokwor, Beverly Osu, and Broda Shaggi, with special live musical performances by Johnny Drille and Cobhams Asuquo.
The plot follows Soluchi (Uzoamaka Power), a call centre agent struggling with the pain of being jilted by her former lover, Kalu (Zubby Michael). Her life takes an unexpected turn when a routine customer service call connects her with the magnetic Eli (Andrew Bunting), sparking a journey toward healing and new love.
Speaking about his transition from music videos to the big screen, Dammy Twitch said the choice of genre was deeply personal. “My life has been shaped by love, so choosing a romance story for my first film was instinctive,” he said. “I wanted it to reflect my heart, which has always been rooted in love and happiness.”
Produced by Blessing Uzzi and filmed across Abuja, Enugu, and Lagos, the project marks a significant milestone for Twitch, who has previously directed visuals for Afrobeats giants like Davido. The lead actress, Uzoamaka Power, wrote the screenplay.
