Nigerian youths have been asked to explore more ways to advance the country’s greatness, rather than giving up the hope because of the current challenges.
The candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) during the November 8, 2025 Anambra State governorship election, Mr John Chuma Nwosu, gave the charge in his message to them as they mark this 2026 International Youth Day.
Nwosu, who extended his solidarity to the youths yesterday, described them as “vibrant, talented and resilient young people.”
He urged them to believe in the great opportunities that are available for the country’s development.
“The youths are not merely the leaders of tomorrow; you are leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, professionals and change-makers of today.
“Your energy, creativity, courage and determination remain among Nigeria’s greatest assets.
“As we celebrate you today, I encourage every young Nigerian to believe in the possibilities that lie ahead. Continue to acquire knowledge, develop your skills, embrace technology, pursue entrepreneurship and remain committed to excellence. Do not allow the challenges confronting our nation to extinguish your dreams”, he urged further.
To the young people of Anambra in particular, the former ADC guber candidate urged them to continue to uphold the values of hard work, enterprise, integrity and community service for which the people of the state are renowned, admonishing them “Our state and our nation need your ideas, your talents and your active participation in building a better future”.
Nwosu , however, called on government, political leaders, the private sector and all stakeholders to create an environment where young people can learn, work, innovate, access opportunities and prosper.
He emphasised that empowering the youth is not charity; but, an investment in the future of our communities, state and the country at large.
He therefore urged for a team work by everyone in the country to “build a Nigeria where talent is rewarded, innovation is encouraged, education is accessible and every young person has a genuine opportunity to succeed”.
