The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State has declared its full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, unanimously endorsing him as the party’s sole presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.

The motion for adoption was moved by Hon. Usman Bello Kumo, the Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, during the party’s state congress held on Tuesday. It was seconded by Hon. Abdullahi El-Rasheed, the member representing the Dukku/Nafada Federal Constituency.

The endorsement was overwhelmingly supported by delegates through a resounding voice vote.

In his remarks, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya described the endorsement as an expression of appreciation for what he called President Tinubu’s courageous and quality leadership at a critical moment in Nigeria’s history.

He acknowledged that the nation is navigating difficult economic and governance challenges but noted that the President has demonstrated commitment, vision, and boldness in addressing them.

The Governor added that Gombe State has benefitted significantly from federal support, which continues to reinforce the APC-led development drive at both the state and national levels.

Governor Yahaya also revealed that the state recorded more than 400,000 registered members during the party’s recent e-registration and membership revalidation exercise, placing it 10th nationwide. He attributed this figure to growing public confidence in APC-led governance.
