As this year’s theme connotes “Invest in Women :Accelerate Progress” Junaid Olamide, A life coach, humanitarian and the founder of OJ initiatives as well as the popular mydeesglow and TSQ UK has advocated for the empowerment of women in various functioning fields and platforms.

In a statement signed by her she said “ I am a great advocate of women being empowered and not stereotyped, over the years I have empowered more women, some I open up business for , some I enroll in skill acquisition centers, and host of others. Just two weeks ago I gave out hundreds of jambs form to Nigerians who are so passionate about their education but do not have means to afford it, it’s important to know that educational sector is a major parastatal I do not joke with.”

She further explained the importance of international women’s day and it impacts on as she made reference to how it’s being celebrated in Italy, Uruguay, France, Algeria, Spain and host of others where squares and public spaces are named after March 8 in refrence to international women’s day and as such should be considered as a day to ignite the power of women in the society and their involvement in decision making.

“ Despite progress, women still face a number ofchallenges around the world, such as underrepresentation in leadership positions, limited access to healthcare and education, gender-based violence, and unequal pay. The day of International Women’s Day is a sad reminder of the continuous work needed to attain true gender equality and as such I’m imploring us all to join hands together to ensure a sustainable environment for the women.
