Benue State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Mathew Abo, who was abducted at his residence in Zaki-Biam on Sunday, September 24, 2023, has regained his freedom.

Credible sources, who do not want their names in print, disclosed that Abo’s abductors released him in the early hours of Thursday, October 5, and has already been reunited with his family.
The sources, however did not state whether the N60million ransom demanded by the kidnappers, was paid or not.
The Commissioner spent 10 days in captivity before freedom came his way.
