The Chief Medical Director of the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), Dr Pokop Wushipba Bupwatda has said that there is no cause for alarm as the hospital is fully prepared to handle any emergency following the outbreak of Ebola.
Dr Bupwatda made the disclosure while speaking with LEADERSHIP Sunday.
According to him, the hospital has constituted Disease Infection Control and Prevention Committee long before now.
He said the duty of the committee is to prepare for any emergency adding that experts are on ground with three consultants and a well-equipped isolation centre with a molecular laboratory where tests can be carried out with PCR machines.
The CMD noted that the staff are on high alert and trained to consolidate on what is on ground with a high index of suspicion adding that if anyone comes, they will be able to detect whether he have Ebola or not.
