Born Peter Jimmy and raised in Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria, Peter Kwinadberry’s musical odyssey began long before his name graced stages and airwaves. Hailing from Delta State, Kwinadberry’s roots run deep in the rhythms of Afrobeat.

Known for his skill in songwriting, Kwinadberry gained acclaim and trended when he wrote a song about himself. Reflecting on this, he expressed, “I received a lot of applause for that song I wrote about myself, and it resonated with many. This encouraged me to start from that foundation.”

His debut single, “Morenikeji (Love & Money),” resonated deeply with audiences, earning him widespread acclaim and laying the foundation for future endeavours.

With Davido as his mentor, Kwinadberry envisions collaborations with Burnaboy, Davido, and Rema. Known for his concise yet impactful lyricism, the artist cum producer channels his thoughts and emotions through his music, demonstrating a profound passion for the craft.

“The passion I have for music propels my career. Since my secondary school days, I’ve been recognized as the best singer, leading me to embrace music professionally two years ago,” he explained.

Yet, amidst the accolades and triumphs, Kwinadberry remains grounded, guided by a steadfast commitment to his craft and a desire to inspire through his music.

“I tell people my experiences and life, and I use my lifestyle to pass a message through my music,” he shares, underscoring the profound connection between art and life.

As he looks to the future, Kwinadberry remains steadfast in his commitment to the preservation and evolution of Afrobeat and Amapiano.

“The future of Afrobeat and Amapiano is safe in the hands of Kwinadberry,” he asserts, poised to leave an indelible imprint on the global music landscape.
