North Central Group Charges SGF On Inclusive Leadership

North Central Equity and Justice Coalition (NCEJC) has appealed to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, to spread appointments meant for the entire North Central region.

The group made the appeal in an open letter to President Bola Tinubu, a copy of which was made available to newsmen in Jos yesterday.

Led by a former Plateau State commissioner for information, Mr. Dan Manjang, the group said the appeal was driven by its dismay over continuous neglect of the North Central’s broader interests.

The group said the North Central region looked up to Akume for genuine representation and inclusive leadership.

In the letter, the group listed organisations with heads which it said should be spread across the entire North Central and not only a particular area.

The letter noted that Akume’s leadership had been somewhat disappointing not only to some people in the North Central states beyond Benue but even within his own state, where he had allegedly marginalised ethnic minorities, saying he had disregarded the Abakpa, Akweya, Etulo, Idoma, Igede, Jukun and Nyifon at the expense of the general good.
