The first-class monarch described his death rumour being circulated on social media, as “a blessing for long life.”

Speaking with journalists on the phone in Akure, the Ondo State capital, Oba Akinruntan also confirmed that his state of health was sound.

The monarch stated this when his lawyer and Secretary General Afenifere, Chief Sola Ebiseni, put him on a telephone conference call.

The oil magnate and founder of Obat Oil said, “I am hale and hearty. I have received several phone calls all over the world, particularly from Ondo State, of my death. I was advised by my lawyer on the need to speak to you people to dispel the wicked rumour.
