Hon. Olavokere Jamala, a councillor in Abua/Odual, Rivers State, has introduced an empowerment scheme for rural farmers.

As the deputy leader of the Legislative Council, Jamala unveiled the initiative during visits to Okolomade and Emelego communities, part of Ward 10.

He clarified that the scheme is part of the URU-ODIGHI AGENDA led by the council chairman, Engr. Owolobi Ofori.

“The scheme will support 15 committed members of the Renewed Hope Coalition in Okolomade and Emelego with N10,000 each month for bush clearing, crucial for our rural farmers,” Jamala stated.

At the launch, he thanked God and the leadership in Abua/Odual for enabling his service to the community.

Hon. Okpokipoy Peters, leader of the Renewed Hope Rainbow Coalition, appreciated Jamala’s efforts, highlighting the positive impact on agriculture and community livelihoods.

Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to Jamala for his commitment to supporting rural farmers.
