Former Senate President, Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has described the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national convention in Abuja as more than just a routine gathering, but a strong reflection of unity and collective strength among party members.
Speaking at the event, Saraki emphasised the need for selflessness in leadership, stressing that sacrifice, justice, equity, and fairness must remain the guiding principles for those in positions of authority.
He highlighted the importance of rebuilding the party and reinforcing its vision for national progress, noting that restoring the country should not be the responsibility of incoming leaders alone.
According to him, national recovery requires a shared commitment from all party members, urging them to remain united and focused on common goals.
Saraki further called for teamwork, dedication, and a renewed sense of purpose, insisting that every member has a role to play in moving the country forward.
He concluded by reiterating that only through unity, selflessness, and collective effort can meaningful progress be achieved.
