Nigerian-born tech entrepreneur and investor, Oyemonlan Benjamin Oseoje, has emphasised the importance of goal-setting and proactive planning as essential traits for contemporary entrepreneurs hoping to achieve success in today’s fast-paced business landscape.
.
Speaking on the mindset required to succeed, he said, “To be a go-getter, you must at first be a goal-setter.” He urged aspiring entrepreneurs to act with foresight, adding, “Do something today that your future self will thank you for. It’s going to be hard, but hard does not mean impossible. Instead of waiting for the opportunity, create it.”

Oyemonlan, who is the founder of Platnova—an all-in-one money and lifestyle app transforming digital payments across Africa and the diaspora—believed success lies in discovering personal passion and turning it into service. “The best way to succeed is to discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others,” he noted.

He attributed his own journey to becoming a multi-venture founder to his problem-solving mindset. “I first identify a problem I may have at a particular time, then think of a viable solution. If I can solve that problem, I try to amplify it enough to reach other people like myself who need that solution,” he said.

Benjamin Oyemonlan further explained that this approach has enabled him to consistently generate value and organically develop new business ideas. “Because I’m constantly creating solutions to a general problem, I’m creating value and ideas for new businesses evolve naturally,” he added.

In addition to Platnova, Oyemonlan is the co-founder of Zap.Africa, a decentralized cryptocurrency exchange, and Shortlet.app, a localized alternative to Airbnb designed specifically for African cities. His efforts have earned him recognition as an ECOWAS Youth Ambassador and a global tech talent focused on building inclusive financial systems and scalable tech solutions for emerging markets.

These include introducing physical USD cards, business wallets, and AI-powered financial automation tools. He is also launching a global talent initiative to train and fund the next generation of African tech founders.

With strategic partnerships underway and expansion plans targeting Europe and North America, Benjamin Oyemonlan is preparing for a major seed funding round. “We’re not just building platforms—we’re building ecosystems,” he said.

Driven by a mission to bridge Africa’s digital and financial divide, Oyemonlan Benjamin Oseoje continues to lead innovation across fintech, crypto, real estate, and e-commerce—serving tens of thousands of users around the globe through his dynamic ventures.
