Super Eagles star striker Victor Osimhen’s prolonged transfer saga may be heading to conclusion as the player has agreed to a weekly wage of €350,000 offered by English Premier League side, Chelsea for a move from Napoli.

UEFA-accredited Nigerian journalist, Oma Akatugba revealed this on his X handle – @omaakatugba – on Thursday.

Akatugba said the Nigerian striker initially demanded €500,000 per week, but Chelsea negotiated the figure down to €350,000.

He however insisted that the deal is not yet wrapped up amid interest from Saudi Arabian club, Al Ahli.

“The Victor Osimhen transfer saga seems to be leaning toward a move to Chelsea. According to my sources, not Victor or anyone from his camp, he agreed to a weekly wage of €350,000 with Chelsea. Initially, he sought €500,000 per week, but Chelsea persuaded him to accept the lower figure.

“However, Chelsea fans shouldn’t celebrate just yet, as this drama is far from over. The Saudi clubs are still in the race and are offering even more money,” Akatugba wrote on X.

Earlier reports suggested that the long transfer saga between Chelsea and Napoli seems to be reaching its conclusion, with Napoli reportedly accepting the London club’s offer to sign the Nigerian star.

This has kept the door open for big-money clubs, particularly Al Ahli, who remain in pursuit of Osimhen with competitive offers as the transfer window is nearing its end.
