Romano added that Napoli also set a penalty clause for Galatasaray to avoid selling Osimhen to any Italian club in the next two years.

However, final details to get Osimhen’s deal done and the sell-on clause are yet to be agreed at the moment.

Osimhen spent the whole last season on loan at Galatasaray. The Nigeria striker rejected huge money offers from Saudi Arabia club Al Hilal to continue at Galatasaray.

Meanwhile, football commentator Hakan Gündoğar, revealed that Tuesday will be Osimhen’s arrival date in Istanbul.

“Osimhen will be in Istanbul on Tuesday. Clear information. He will meet with Galatasaray fans on Tuesday,” Gündoğar said (via habersarikirmizi). “Galatasaray fans are expected to give one of the most historic welcomes for Victor Osimhen.”

It is worth noting that Galatasaray and Napoli have both agreed on bank guarantees and payment plans for Osimhen’s permanent transfer to the Turkish Süper Lig champions this summer.

Galatasaray will pay the Serie A giants Osimhen’s €75m release clause in two instalments: €40m now and €35m within one year.

Last season, Osimhen turned down lucrative offers from the Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal in favour of a move to Turkey.
