Manchester City, Pep Guardiola, is set to continue his spending spree in the transfer market this year, with the signing of Wolves left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri.

In January, the former Premier League champions splashed out £180 million on four new players.
Guardiola brought in the quartet of Omar Marmoush, Nico Gonzalez, Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis to salvage a miserable campaign.

City finished in third position in the league and won no trophies.

Ahead of next season, Ait-Nouri has emerged as City’s top left-back target.
The Athletic reports that although no fee has been agreed between the two clubs, all parties now expect a deal to happen.

Guardiola is also eyeing a move for Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White, as he seeks to replace Kevin De Bruyne, who has played his last game for City.

It appears Guardiola’s transfer strategy is to look around the Premier League for top talents, as he is keen on Newcastle United’s Tino Livramento.

Former City skipper, Kyle Walker, is not expected to return to the Etihad following a short loan spell at AC Milan.
