Professor Max Farrar, a renowned sociologist from Leeds in the United Kingdom, has visited the Matsirga Waterfalls in Madakiya Zangon Kataf local government and other historic sites in Southern Kaduna Senatorial district of Kaduna State.
Professor Farrar, the secretary of the David Oluwale Memorial Association (DOMA), visited Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, who represents the Southern Kaduna Senatorial District, at his country home in Madakiya. During his visit, he was taken around historic sites, including the Matsirga waterfalls in Southern Kaduna.
It would be recalled that in 2023, Professor Farrar and his colleagues unveiled Yinka Shonibare’s “Hibiscus Rising,” a sculpture commemorating David Oluwale near the site where David tragically drowned in 1969.
Professor Farrar also serves on the board of Utopia Theatre and was previously a board member of UK Friends of Abraham’s Path until 2020. Additionally, he participated in the Leeds political cultural discussion group, Taking Soundings.
Speaking on his visit, Senator Katung, his friend, extended his heartfelt gratitude to Professor Farrar for his visit and his willingness to collaborate with them for the prosperity of Southern Kaduna.
