Prof. Yusuf made the call during a one- day capacity building workshop organised by the university ‘s Centre for Peace and Security Studies in Ilorin, the state capital.

“Synergy among our security agencies, is very important in reducing insecurity in our society. As you observed here today, virtually all security agencies were present and this is very good for our country, we need more of this,” Yusuf said.

The workshop tagged: “Peace and Conflict Management Capacity Building Retreat” was initiated by Yusuf on his assumption of office as vice chancellor and was designed for post-graduate students with five different courses.

Earlier, the Acting Director of the Centre For Peace Studies, Dr Adekola AbdulAzeez, had stated that the Centre was doing everything possible to strengthen its coast and contribute meaningfully to peaceful coexistence of Nigerians.
